Privacy Policy

Effective Date: August 2, 2026

ToneCast (the "Software", "we", "us") values your privacy. This policy explains our data handling policies for the ToneCast standalone application, VST3 plugin wrapper, and our product website.

1. Local-First Design (Zero Audio Collection)

ToneCast is designed to operate locally on your computer. When you load a Neural Amp Modeler (.nam) capture profile or Cabinet Impulse Response (.wav) file, the digital signal processing is executed locally by your CPU. ToneCast does not record, intercept, store, or transmit your guitar performance audio, signal parameters, or session presets to any external servers.

2. Early Access Registrations

If you voluntarily register your email in our Early Access Form, we collect your email address, optional name, and consent preference. This data is used solely to notify you when testing builds compile and when release installers are ready. We do not sell or share this contact database with third parties.

3. Planned Network Integrations

Future versions will support TONE3000 online browsing within the standalone player app. This service will retrieve search queries and download profile metadata and file payloads from the TONE3000 library. It will not transmit personal data, telemetry, or DAW audio states.

4. Open Source Transparency

Because ToneCast is developed transparently on GitHub, developers and users can inspect the complete source code to verify that our engine contains no hidden telemetry scripts or tracking components.

For questions or data deletion requests, you can contact us or file a ticket in our GitHub repository issues board.
